❗Range Use and Safety Notice ❗

No unauthorised shooting is permitted on the range.
All shooting activities must take place under the supervision of the appointed Range Officer to ensure compliance with strict safety protocols.

A register of all shooters is maintained, and each shooting participant must sign the indemnity agreement before any shooting takes place.

New shooters to the range must submit a copy of their ID and firearm licence to the range officer.

Trespassing and unsupervised firearm use on the range are serious safety violations.

The range is situated on a working farm, and any unauthorised discharge of firearms endangers farm workers and visitors.
In the event of an accident or negligent shooting, those involved may face serious legal and financial consequences,

including liability for harm caused to others, the club, or the property owner.

All shooting and 4x4 vehicle activity at the range and quarry are monitored by security, trespassers will be prosecuted.

Welcome to Umzinto Shooting Club!

We are a dedicated private sport shooting club, distinct from public-access ranges or commercial shooting facilities. Our focus is on serving the responsible civilian firearm community through structured, member-based activities. While we welcome newcomers who share our values, participation is limited to members and invited guests to ensure a safe, focused environment.

Join Our Shoots:

Our club organizes shooting events on a private range, scheduled for specific days and times (see the schedule page by clicking here: Shooting Days ). Confirmation for these events are shared through our club's WhatsApp group. Additionally, members may occasionally have opportunities to participate in events hosted by other sport shooting clubs or special training events.

Shoot with what you have available:

You don't need the latest 'wonder nine' modern 9mm pistol or fancy equipment. Your EDC / carry gun (pistol or revolver) is good to use and compete with. You are not competing against other shooters but against yourself. The aim is for you to keep record of your personal performance to improve your personal best score.

Contributing to the Club:

To help cover operational costs, a minimal range fee of R50 is applicable at our shooting events. (range fee will increase to R70 in 2026 due to increased operating costs, pensioner range fee remain at R50)
